Why?

Why we do what we do:   Because people are hurting and searching.   Because Jesus cares.  Because we care!

The world is a tough place and unfortunately all too many people have been hurt by religion.

While we could make a laundry list of what is tough in this world, we are sure that you could add several items of your own to our list. It’s tough here in the United States and is even tougher in many countries throughout the world. Slavery is actually at an all time high, an international food crisis has people actually eating dirt in some places, energy costs are rising, war is raging, families are struggling, and these things have created a world that is stressed out like never before.

Jesus shocked His “followers” in Matthew 25 when He spoke of people that abandoned Him when He was hungry, thirsty, naked, lonely, sick, and imprisoned. His followers could not recall such instances. Jesus then told them that when they abandoned His brothers and sisters around the world, they abandoned Him.

Our prayer is that God feels our love from what we do to serve this hurting world.
